This week’s activity is the fifth segment of my oral aural story “That’s my Way”

I’ve been studying Book Two:    Coding the Front End, Part 1:    HTML and CSS from “Web Coding & Development all-in-one for dummies (7 Books in one!)”.    I’m starting to get the concepts.

Elementor each has a customization field called CSS Classes, that prompts you for “your custom class WITHOUT the dot.”; core WordPress offers a field called “ADDITIONAL CSS CLASS(ES), separate multiple classes with spaces.”    Their tutorials and help docs explain how useful this is but, despite even Wikipedia, I could not understand nor think of a single use for them; Web Coding & Development for Dummies says “CSS is a cornerstone of web development,” it’s a “crucial web development technology” (page 18).

It says a Style Sheet was a manuscript’s page of preferences like typeface, font size, margins, &tc. used by book publishers, and a Cascading Style Sheet does the same thing for the webpage.    Cascading is how the style preferences propagate throughout its elements.     For perspective about me, why it was so hard to understand, click here link to https://www.dixonsforum.com/index.php/about-me/ .

I also found out should’ve been using JPEG not PNG for my images because of the smaller file size.    All of my favicon logos (Dixon's Forum logo) are PNG, and they’re so small I plan to never change them but  Naomi’s painting is JPG already.    Click here  link to https://nls.dixonsforum.com/   to see it.

Haven’t pinged the Googlebots yet; that will come after I master the seven web coding and development books for dummies now.

The fifth segment of “That’s my Way” tells how I tried to parlay the Gubernatorial Candidate’s quickly-earned trust and esteem into a mover-and-shaker career, and how that worked out for me.    Click here to see it.    Link to https://dds.dixonsforum.com/index.php/2024/07/22/thats-my-way-05/ .

Next Week:   I don’t know yet.
